To my brother: you are my unconditional love. never was there any more, never shall there be any less. <3 you showed me that it was possible to be happy with myself, even when I refused to see past the haze of insecurity. i am sitting here, wanting to share words with you. all i can think of is a silent prayer to you for hopes that the words would finally come. i love you, anthony. always.

When will it be?

Today's events have left my heart torn open wide; it amazes me how someone can demonstrate such acts of violence on people they don't have any relation to -- strangers sitting in a room, excited, entertained, then boomed down for the sake of someone's sole desire. What fuels the madness or purpose in someone's mind to lead them to massacre so many people? Aurora, Colorado is so close to the tragic school shoot out of Columbine in 1999. I am just devastated right now. I don't know any of the people, I don't know the gunman, but I know the feeling of comfort and peace in watching a movie. I know what it feels like to sit next to people you enjoy spending time with and lending your imagination over to the big picture screen. I even know what it's like sitting awkwardly comfortable next to a complete stranger, but know it's all for the sake of a common interest; the picture show. It's out of control

Moving too damn fast...so sad with nothing left to grip, to hold up. What fell beneath my feet are the remnants of ambition I felt today... sometimes defeat is just a solemn soldier. nothing more to remain. a peace in knowing you tried. At least for today.
