The mind, a dormant stone

I am featured at AWP2016! Hello Los Angeles!  I am super excited to be joining the festivities of literary sorts this week for the annual AWP Conference! AWP is Association of Writers and Writing Programs. There will be panel presentations, readings, book signings,bookfairs, all kinds of fun things...including a bar for us boozers :) haha I am stoooooooked! I heard about AWP so much in college and in Grad School...it's amazing that I have this opportunity to be a part of it. I get to represent myself as a Poet and also as a Poet Teacher with California Poets in the Schools, newly published by international press, Swan World Press from Paris, France... and also, I will be hosting my own offsite event from the Los Angeles Poet Society, with the Writers Underground at Espacio 1839, in the heart of East LA..very close to where I was born. Happy Happy Poetry Month!   Los Angeles Poet Society is so honored and proud to bring two exceptionally selfless and brilliant Poets that hold the title Youth Poet Laureate and Poet Laureate of Los Angeles, respectively!  Luis J.
